We love nothing more than a good movie! And especially those that hit us right in our feels. The movie doesn’t necessarily have to be sad, just something that hits you emotionally, something you can relate to, or something that makes you think about your role in the world differently. Whether those feelings are good, happy, sad or a mixture of all the emotions, we just love a good movie that can get some sort of reaction from our head or our hearts.

So we put the call out to our team, and asked what movies they love to watch, so we can share them with you. So grab the popcorn and the tissues, and get stuck in!

1. Inside Out

It’s only logical that we start this list off with a Disney movie right? The key message is that there are more feelings than just happiness or sadness, and all of them work together to make our worlds go round. It’s so refreshing to see this come from a Disney movie!

2.The Pursuit of Happyness

Are you struggling at the moment? Then this is the perfect movie for you! TPOH shows us that when life throws curve balls, you’ve just got to fight through. There is always something amazing waiting on the other side, even if you can’t see it, or even imagine it.

3.The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Even though the film is set in the early 1990s, teenagers in today’s world can relate to the movie because the problems that the characters face in the movie are universal. It’s so important to see these issues addressed in TV and movies, so we can get perspective, and know that we’re not alone.

4. Onward

This one comes with a tissue warning! Once again, Disney knows just how to hit us where it hurts. Onward is a brilliant movie that shows us how precious family is and how important it is to enjoy every last second with the ones we love.

5. Bridge to Terabithia

Even though it’s been 15 years or so since this movie was released, it’s timeless and unforgettable. This movie is a perfect example of how we often find our best friends in our darkest and most challenging times. Leslie and Jesse’s friendship becomes a place to dream, explore, express and believe.

6.Moulin Rouge

This one is simple. It has the most beautiful message. “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return.” That is some pure poetry we can all get behind.

7.The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is a true masterpiece and must watch for every teenager. This movie celebrates hope in the possibility of life and acknowledges the human potential that each new wave of high school kids has. And the constant flow of that wave, year after year.

8. Little Women

When Jo says “Women, they have minds, and they have souls, as well as just hearts. And they’ve got ambition, and they’ve got talent, as well as just beauty. I’m so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for.”, we are always moved to tears. Such powerful words.

9.Moxie

This one is for all the feminists out there! Any group that demands slow-changing conformity—or only includes a certain kind of person with a certain kind of outlook/background/attitude—does not deserve to call itself liberating. “Moxie” gets that.

10. Me Before You

Another tear-jerker here! This movie focuses on the simple and yet wonderful way people fall in love while creating a space for people to think about what matters.
